I put lights together then got it wet and boom got photos.

Great, great, and great information about shooting food.
This is a pretty nice shot. You need to increase the exposure though, get it brighter. One thing that I learned from reading the blog linked above, is that with food- there is nothing moving so you can have a slow shutter speed--- AS LONG AS you have a tripod. You might try looking around on craigslist to see if you can try and get a cheap one.
Read up and keep trying new stuff!
